Molly Dobbs denies DNA test
Coronation Street's Molly Dobbs is ''outraged'' when former flame Kevin Webster demands a DNA test to determine the paternity of her son Jack.
Coronation Street's Molly is "outraged" when Kevin demands a DNA test of her son Jack.
The adulterous mother - played by actress Vicky Binns - refuses to grant her former flame the paternity test, and would rather live in "a bubble" pretending the baby is her husband Tyrone's child.
She explained: "Molly's outraged. For the nine months of her pregnancy he didn't want to know. She refuses. She'd rather live in this bubble where Tyrone (Alan Halsall) thinks Jack is his. If they have a test and find out Kevin (Michael Le Vell) is the father, there'll be no going back."
Kevin - who as Tyrone's boss and close pal is due to become godfather to baby Jack - isn't prepared to take no for an answer and orders a secret DNA test to prove the paternity of the child once and for all.
However, their secret is in danger of coming out when Jack Duckworth (Bill Tarmey) overhears the former lovers talking about their affair.
Vicky adds to Soaplife magazine: "Molly's shocked to the core when Jack tells her. Not because he might tell Tyrone but because his reaction is so beautiful. He doesn't condemn her and instead urges her to leave Weatherfield with Tyrone and baby Jack."
