Stuntwoman Carley Stenson
Carley Stenson has revealed she performed her own stunts - which involved her ''running through fire'' - in the upcoming 'Hollyoaks' blaze scenes.
'Hollyoaks' actress Carley Stenson performed her own stunts in the soap's upcoming explosive episodes.
The 28-year-old star has revealed while she was given a professional stuntwoman for the Guy Fawkes night (05.11.10) scenes - which will see village restaurant Il Nosh go up in flames after an arson attack - she decided to perform one of the tricky techniques herself.
She explained: "I had a stunt lady but I managed to squeeze one in myself. There was lots of running through fire and I had to climb up stairs that were falling apart."
Carley - who has played the part of Steph for 11 years - is just one of the soap's stars believed to be exiting 'Hollyoaks' in the blaze storyline after filming her final scenes for the Channel 4 show in September.
However, with a further four characters - including Dominic Reilly (John Pickard), Malachy Fisher (Glen Wallace), Mercedes Fisher (Jennifer Metcalfe) and her cousin Bart McQueen (Jonny Clarke) - also facing the chop, stunt director Penny Shales hopes the dramatic scenes will move audiences to tears.
Penny added to Soaplife magazine: "The important thing is not, 'Ooh, we've burnt something'. Anyone can do that. It's about engaging the audience so they will be on the edge of their seats crying."
