Daybreak set for a revamp?
'Daybreak' chiefs are reportedly set to turn to ITV Studios - who make 'Loose Women', 'This Morning' and 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' - to revamp the struggling show
Producers of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' are set to be drafted in to revive 'Daybreak'.
Bosses on the troubled morning show have seen ratings slump to just 580,000 and are now planning to turn to ITV Studios - who make the jungle-based celebrity contest as well as 'This Morning' and 'Loose Women' - for help with attracting viewers.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Things are going from bad to worse on 'Daybreak'.
"We went for revolution rather than evolution when we axed 'GMTV', but now it's us who are against the wall."
So far, in a bid to bring back viewers of old morning programme 'GMTV', show chiefs have transformed the 'Daybreak' set with colour panels and more plants in a bid to make a more appealing, softer set.
It was recently claimed that Christine Bleakley - who fronts the show alongside Adrian Chiles - is to be given a new prime-time Saturday show to host and reduce her hours on 'Daybreak'.
A source said: "Everyone's worked hard on the show but it's not gelling with people. ITV bosses are now working out where Christine can do a show without the pressure of 'Daybreak' hanging over her head.
"They have always felt she should host a Saturday night show. People expect it to happen after Christmas, once 'The X Factor' is over."
