Peter Andre 'too busy for Strictly'

Peter Andre doesn't have enough time to compete in 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The Australian-born pop star admits while he would love to take part in the ballroom dance show, his work and private lives are too hectic for him to commit to the BBC One programme's gruelling rehearsal schedule.
He said: "I've always loved the show, but it's such a major commitment and you need months and there are loads of rehearsals.
"You know I'm a very lucky person in that I get to do television, music and endorsements, so with all of that and to be with my kids, they'd never be any time. At this stage, I'd much rather do music."
Peter recently performed his new single 'Defender' live on the show, where he was criticised for "lip-synching".
Discussing the performance, he told Star magazine: "It was amazing! You know, I was so lucky to have the first performance of the new single 'Defender' on the show. It was incredible. I loved it.
"I can assure you I was singing live. I have a TV track and a backing track that's all background vocals, but the whole thing is live. So I took that as a major compliment for me because it meant that I did a good job.
"It's actually always a compliment I want to have. I want someone to ask me if I'm miming when I'm singing live - I think that's the best thing."
