'Coronation Street' actress Kym Marsh admits it was a struggle for her to keep her boyfriend Jamie Lomas' return to 'Hollyoaks' a secret.
Kym Marsh struggled to keep her boyfriend Jamie Lomas' return to 'Hollyoaks' secret.
The 'Coronation Street' actress is "delighted" her lover is set to reprise his role as bad boy Warren Fox in the Channel 4 soap, but admits it has been "tricky" not to spill.
She said: "It's been tricky keeping it secret that Jamie is back on 'Hollyoaks', but I'm delighted he's decided to reprise his role as Warren Fox and wreak more havoc in the village!"
It had been reported Jamie agreed to reprise the part after failing to land any movie parts in Hollywood, but Kym insists he chose 'Hollyoaks' over films.
She explained in her column in new! magazine: "He went to Los Angeles to meet industry people, which he did, and it was very positive. He was advised to come back for a pilot season but will now have to wait until 2012."
Kym has also spoken out in praise of her close friend Beverley Callard, admitting she is "gutted" she has decided to leave the show after 21 years.
She said: "We're very close and so she told me the news before it hit the headlines ¬ I was gutted.
I'm going to miss her so much, but she's got to do what's best for her and I fully support her. Of course I'll still see her out of work and, as she's a very creative person, I'm certain she'll take on other TV roles in the future."
