Paula Lane and her co-stars are determined to make 2010 the "pinnacle year" for 'Coronation Street'.
The actress - who recently joined the ITV1 soap as Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly)'s troubled younger sister Kylie Turner - admits there is a "buzz" on set as the soap stars prepare for the show's landmark 50th anniversary celebrations in December.
She said: "There's a lot of anticipation - but its excitement and there's a lot of buzz around it. We all want to make it like the pinnacle year for the 50th, so next year we can reap all the rewards. So everyone just wants to do their best I think. Obviously we don't know a lot of our storylines that are coming up in the live ep, it's all hush hush, but we trust in the producers. They know what they are doing."
Paula loves playing her new alter-ego, and admits she is looking forward to finding out what's in store for her over the coming weeks.
She explained on 'This Morning': "She's so unpredictable, you never know where she's going to go next. She's like a cat; she just pounces - the minute she can see something for herself, she's on it! But she's a very mixed up girl and she is misunderstood."
Paula joined the show back in August this year, and has fitted into the "big family" atmosphere on-set easily.
She explained: "I love it, I just feel so at home. From the day I walked it I really felt like `I belong here' and that's what I love about it. It's like a big family."
