Peter Shilton dances off
Peter Shilton has been kicked off 'Strictly Come Dancing' after coming bottom of the points board for his performance of the Charleston on Saturday night (23.10.10)
Peter Shilton was voted off 'Strictly Come Dancing' last night (24.10.10).
The former England goalkeeper and professional dancer Erin Boag came bottom of the leader board after Saturday night's performance (23.10.10) of the Charleston and were booted off after a showdown with former Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams, who was temporarily dancing with Ian Waite as her regular partner Brendan Cole is on compassionate leave from the show.
Speaking to the crowd, Peter said he would miss the show but not any of the judging panel - made up of Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli.
He said: "I've had a fantastic time, but I'm disappointed for Erin I didn't dance as good as I could have.
"I'm going to miss the spirit amongst the competitors - it's been great. I won't miss the judges, obviously. I've been taught by the best in the business."
The judging panel were all quick to criticise Peter following his dance on Saturday, with Bruno saying he lacked the energy required for the high-paced routine and joking he looked like a penguin.
He said "Oh Peter, what can I say? You look like a penguin stuck in the mud! It couldn't quite get going.
"It's true you've ever done it before and it's tough because it requires the timing to be spot on, it has to have energy and it didn't really gel."
