Ann Widdecombe is to fly on this week's 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The former politician will be strapped to a harness on tomorrow night's (23.10.10) show as she and professional partner Anton Du Beke become the first couple to be put in the air as part of their tango routine.

Ann - who is scared of heights - said: "I have no doubt I can pull it off because I'm not going higher than my comfort zone and when I come down out of the lift I'm on terra firma. And the more firmer, the less terror."

Anton suggested the aerial move because he wanted to try something "outrageous" to win over the judges, who have, so far, not been impressed by Ann's dance moves.

However, one fan of Ann's is Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, as she told judge Craig Revel Horwood she finds her "hugely entertaining" at charity event on Wednesday (20.10.10).

A source added: "Camilla told Craig she had been enjoying this series and in particular, Ann's performances and hoped that she stayed in the show because she was such an entertainer. She said she loves watching her routines."

Meanwhile, Ann's fellow contestant Patsy Kensit has revealed her ex-husband Liam Gallagher is teasing her about how much fake tan she has to use.

She said: "A woman comes round to do my tan at home. I can end up giving my youngest son Lennon a cuddle and in the morning he'll wake up with one brown arm.

"His dad Liam said to me, 'You not Julio Iglesias, for goodness sake!' "
