It’s no real surprise that Eric Bibb took to playing guitar early in life. He grew up in a musical family (his father was a singer, and his uncle was pianist John Lewis of the Modern Jazz Quartet), and began performing professionally while still in school. He is now a major figure on the acoustic blues scene, and combines deep awareness of the roots of the music with a smooth contemporary style. He has just released a new album, Diamond Days.
