Cheryl Cole loves similar Cher
'X Factor' judge Cheryl Cole admits she understands why people keep comparing contestant Cher Lloyd to a ''young me''.
Cheryl Cole thinks 'X Factor' contestant Cher Lloyd is like a "young" version of her.
The Girls Aloud singer - who rose to fame after starring in reality show 'Popstars: The Rivals' -understands why so many comparisons are being made between herself and 17-year-old Cher, because even she thinks the similarities are uncanny.
She said: "She reminds me of a young me completely. Even the type of music she listens to, how she performs.
"Even the way she performs - you know, when you forget the camera is there and pull faces, she's doing that at the moment. People just need to get used to the performance."
Cheryl also played down rumours Cher has been throwing tantrums backstage.
She said on Radio 1: "I think she is 17, she's got that teenage edge going on. She is different. And I get her completely. All the girls are great girls, honestly. I have to work with them as well - I wouldn't put them through if I didn't think I could.
"I like to hear their opinions. I'm not going to say, 'That's what you're wearing, that's what you're doing'. But there's no stropping going on, I wouldn't be able to handle that."
Cheryl also admits she struggles to keep quiet when her friend and fellow panellist Simon Cowell tries to wind her up during the show.
She added: "I can't help myself. Sometimes when I'm going out and I do think maybe I should bite my tongue but I can't help myself, especially when I've got four people to defend."
