Tina O'Brien's Strictly banana boost
'Strictly Come Dancing' star Tina O'Brien is beating chickenpox by eating bananas as she trains for this weekend's live show.
'Strictly Come Dancing' star Tina O'Brien is beating chickenpox by gorging on bananas.
The 27-year-old actress had to skip last weekend's live show after being struck down with the contagious skin illness, but after being given the all-clear by doctors, the blonde is back in rehearsals and boosting her fitness by eating plenty of the potassium-filled fruit.
However, Tina's penchant for the yellow treat is reportedly driving her professional dance partner Jared Murillo, 22, mad.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "She has a habit of eating bananas all the time.?
"There is always a banana in her hand or mouth when we rehearse!"??
Tina is currently working on a Charleston routine to wow the judges on the BBC One show this weekend.
She was "devastated" to miss last week's performance of the rumba after her dancing partner Jared had flown seven members of his family over from Utah, America to watch them.
They are now expected to make this weekend's show instead.
Tina - who caught chicken pox from her 23-month-old daughter Scarlett - added: "It's good to be back, and I really want to catch up."
