The Rolling Stones guitarists Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards both have ''itchy feet'' and are ready to go on tour with the band
The Rolling Stones guitarists Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards both have "itchy feet" to tour with the band.
The 'Brown Sugar' musicians are both excited about the prospect of playing live with the band, and said it is likely to be decided in December when they will hit the road again.
Ronnie exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "The Stones are pondering what to do next. We have our big meeting at the end of the year, in December.
"Everyone's got itchy feet to play again, but I don't think that will be until the end of next year. In the meantime I've going to take The Faces with Mick Hucknall out on the road again."
Lead guitarist Keith has meanwhile said he's had words with singer Mick Jagger about staging a new tour next year.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: "I'm getting hints. And I'm always ready. Mick and I spoke about a month ago in New York.
"It's at that mumbling stage. But I had some outtakes from the last sessions we did for 'A Bigger Bang' and said, 'Just to jog your memory...'
"So there's interaction. You don't want to push it too hard."
Drummer Charlie Watts has previously said he was in favour of the band performing a 50th anniversary tour in 2011.
Meanwhile Ronnie said he's not read Keith's new autobiography, 'Life', but that the pair have discussed it.
He added: "I've only touched on it, but, I thought oh, here we go.
"Keith said, 'We're going to announce the book in the New York Library. We'll have a big sign up saying 'Silence Please' then I'm gonna walk in with a big pair of hobnail boots'. I said yeah, that's about as subtle as your book will be!"
