'EastEnders' character Janine Malloy is set to poison her new husband Ryan Malloy in an upcoming Christmas storyline.

Janine Malloy is set to poison her husband in an upcoming 'EastEnders' Christmas storyline.

The soap maneater - played by Charlie Brooks - is to lash out at her spouse Ryan Mulloy (Neil McDermott) and secretly give him three toxic pills after growing jealous of the amount of time he is spending with his new daughter Lily, and her mother Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner).

A source said: "Janine is Walford's best b***h, so of course when she realises she may lose Ryan - the one thing she really loves - she sets about plotting her revenge."

After returning from their honeymoon recently, Janine was shocked to discover Ryan was Lily's dad and just three months after they wed, their romance is set to take a dramatic turn for the worse.

Back in 2004, Janine killed off her first husband Barry Evans (Sean Williamson) by pushing him off a cliff top.

However, soap insiders believe the upcoming attack on Ryan will be "planned in cold blood" and could see the demise of the hunky character.

The source: "When she killed Barry it wasn't premeditated, but this is planned in cold blood. She is a truly twisted character.

"Janine is capable of murder, it's a miracle she only has one to her name so far. She's been accused of a few in her time."
