Storm Lee voted off X Factor
Storm Lee and Diva Fever were the latest contestants to be voted off 'The X Factor' last night (17.10.10) after landing themselves in the bottom three alongside girl group Belle Amie
Storm Lee and Diva Fever were voted off 'The X Factor' last night (17.10.10).
The red-haired rocker and the flamboyant duo failed to wow the public with their respective performances of Bruce Springsteen's 'Born To Run' and new Duck Sauce dance hit 'Barbara Streisand', and were left in the bottom three alongside girl group Belle Amie.
Storm was immediately booted off the ITV1 show after receiving the lowest proportion of the public vote, while Diva Fever - made up of Craig Saggers and Josef Al-Smadi - and Belle Amie were forced to battle it out in the sing-off.
However, music mogul Simon Cowell - who had both groups in his category - wasn't forced to choose between the two bands, as fellow judges Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole all voted to save Belle Amie after deeming their performance of Fergie's 'Big Girls Don't Cry' stronger than the duo's rendition of 'I Will Survive'.
While Storm took the news graciously, Diva Fever blamed their departure on their mentor's song choice.
Craig said: "It's been mad being on 'The X Factor'. We think we can really sing. With better songs we could have done a lot better."
Simon Cowell apologised to the pair, saying: "I accept full responsibility. I let you down and I'm sorry."
Elsewhere in 'The X Factor', hunky Matt Cardle has blasted reports he slept with 24-year-old hopeful Katie Waissel, who he apparently believes to have leaked the story herself in a bid to gain public favour.
He reportedly told the controversial blonde: "What do you think you were doing? We were only watching TV - now it looks like we're an item. I've just come out of a relationship and I'm not about to get into another right now. Especially not with you."
