Joshua Pascoe cast in EastEnders
'EastEnders' has signed up actor Joshua Pascoe to portray Ben Mitchell when he returns from a juvenile detention centre
Joshua Pascoe has been cast as 'EastEnders' new Ben Mitchell.
The actor is thrilled to join the BBC One soap, and can't wait to appear in Albert Square for the first time later this year when his new alter-ego returns to Walford after spending six months in a juvenile detention centre.
The schoolboy had previously been played by Charlie Jones, but he was dropped from the soap earlier this year.
Joshua said: "I was so excited when I got the call to say I'd got the part of Ben Mitchell. I never thought I'd get on to a show as big as 'EastEnders'.
"I've always watched the programme and it will be great to work with fantastic actors such as Steve McFadden and Linda Henry. I'm really looking forward to this fantastic opportunity and making the role of Ben my own."
Joshua is set to work closely with Steve and Linda, who will play his screen dad Phil Mitchell and his girlfriend Shirley Carter.
