Joy Stefanicki fired from Apprentice
Joy Stefanicki has been fired from BBC One's 'The Apprentice' and blames Karren Brady for her dismissal.
Joy Stefanicki was fired from 'The Apprentice' last night (13.10.10).
The 31-year-old marketing and PR director was given the boot by Lord Alan Sugar in the second week of the BBC One show after her team Apollo failed to receive any orders for their beach accessory, a complicated eight-piece book stand.
However, the Birmingham businesswoman doesn't think she should have left the programme and has laid the blame with Lord Sugar's advisor Karren Brady.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I don't think I was right to go, I don't think it was me that should have been fired. I banked on Karren giving accurate and good strong feedback to Lord Sugar. I've got a lot of respect for Karren, a lot of respect and she comes from where I come from and I'm a big fan of hers but I was a little bit disappointed that she didn't give more support.
"I think she may not have been my biggest fan. The fact that Lord Sugar still fired me, I wonder had she actually told him about the contribution that I made because she was the person that was there watching."
While Joy revealed she wasn't happy with her team's product she admits it was their inability to work together that ultimately led to her dismissal.
She said: "We made a couple of strategic errors. One was that we had a terrible product, and one was we were offered the chance of exclusivity with Boots and we didn't take it. I think our biggest mistake was that we were unable to work as a team. Karren made a point of saying how badly the team behaved, people were shouting and screaming. It didn't matter what product we had we couldn't have won in that environment."
