Brendan Cole blasts Strictly judges
Brendan Cole has blasted the 'Strictly Come Dancing' judges for criticising Michelle William's routines.
Brendan Cole has lashed out at the 'Strictly Come Dancing' judges for their negativity.
The professional dancer - who is partnering former Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams in this year's series of the hit BBC One talent show - has blasted the judging panel for their criticisms of the American singer's routine on Saturday's (09.10.10) show.
He said: "I don't want to sound like a whiner or anything, but Michelle's foxtrot was a proper foxtrot. I'm talking lower, drive, rise, fall, swing and sway. Yes, her shoulders came up a little bit, but it was her first ever ballroom dance."
Brendan added that an "insecure" Michelle was finding it difficult to recover from the comments where Alesha Dixon called her "jerky" and Bruno Tonioli warned her not to "raise your shoulders".
He said on 'It Takes Two': "You've got to give her a bit of time and a little bit of encouragement. I can't stand any of this negative, negative all the time. It's not fair at all. It takes too long for her to pick herself up afterwards. She has feelings as well. Everyone thinks she's this strong woman, but she's just as insecure as the rest of us."
The duo will perform a rumba on the show this Saturday (16.09.10).
