Matt Smith wants Dame Helen Mirren to star in 'Doctor Who'.
The actor - who plays The Doctor in the BBC One sci-fi series - would love the 65-year-old actress to join him in the TARDIS and admits he has drawn up a wish list of famous faces he wants to appear in the show with him.
He said: "Helen Mirren would be great in 'Doctor Who', also Eric Cantona and Vincent Cassel - he would be number one actually."
Matt is also keen for actor Rowan Atkinson to guest-star in the series and believes his comic skills would bring some light relief to the programme.
He added to BANG Showbiz: "I would love Rowan Atkinson to be in 'Doctor Who', I think he'd be wonderful. I know Rowan did a Comic relief version and it was great, I think he's a fantastic actor, but I don't know if he'd do it."
In 1999, Rowan appeared as the time-travelling alien in 'Doctor Who and the Curse of Fatal Death' in a parody of the show for 'Comic Relief'.
The 'Doctor Who Live' show is currently touring the UK. It kicked off on Friday (08.10.10) at London's Wembley Arena and tours across the UK until November 7th - for tickets and more information visit www.doctorwholive.com.
