Carley Stenson praised by Hollyoaks pals
'Hollyoaks' actress Carley Stenson has been praised by her co-stars as one of the best-ever stars of the soap
Jorgie Porter has praised Carley Stenson as being one of 'Hollyoaks' best-ever stars.
The actress - who plays Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap - admits she has been in awe of blonde Carley since she first joined the show as Steph Cunningham 11 years ago, and expects her career to really take off now she has left the soap.
Jorgie said: "She was like an ultimate original. I used to watch her before I was in it and think 'Oh my God - she's hilarious!' And then to meet her, she's the nicest girl ever and good luck to her for the stuff she's doing, because she'll keep working."
Carley has finished filming on the series, and her alter-ego Steph - who is dying of terminal cancer - will appear on screen for the final time next month.
As the pretty actress prepared for her final says on the show, she was joined by a number of colleagues who celebrated with a charity even at Chester race course.
Actress Gemma Merna - who portrays Carmel Valentine in the show - told Holy Soap: "I think everyone was very emotional. We had a charity do at Chester race course and she sang and everyone was saying she was going.
"Everyone was getting all welled up then because she is honestly one of the nicest girls you could ever meet. We've had her in our life and worked with her, so I think everyone's found it really difficult especially with Carley because she's so lovely.
"She's a big part of our working environment - everyone was devastated."
Carley is now set to star alongside Sheridan Smith and Denise Van Outen in a West End production of 'Legally Blonde, The Musical' in London, opening on October 25.
