Cher Lloyd 'fights' for X Factor
Cher Lloyd admits she will have to ''fight'' to prove to the British public that she is deserving of her place in 'The X Factor'
Cher Lloyd is ready to "fight" to prove her place in 'The X Factor' finals.
The 17-year-old contestant - who was chosen by mentor Cheryl Cole for her final three, despite having tonsillitis and being unable to complete her audition - admits the recent backlash by fans of the show over Cheryl's decision to pick her and Katie Waissel instead of favourite Gamu Nhengu means she needs to try extra hard tomorrow (09.10.10).
She said: "It was very unfortunate, I was ill at the time. Come Saturday they'll think, 'She picked herself back up.' That's what I'm going to do. I'm a fighter. I'm tiptop now and can't wait to show them all what I've got.
"What's the worst that someone can do to us? You can't shoot us. I'm ready to fight."
The teenage contestant has also encouraged 18-year-old reject Gamu - who currently faces deportation from the UK over visa problems - not to give up on her singing ambition.
She said: "It's not the end. Like if we hadn't got through we still would have been fighting for it. We wouldn't give up."
Katie has also vowed to use the negative press to her favour.
She said: "Everyone's entitled to their opinion but it has really inspired me to show the public why I'm here. I am being positive and I can bring it. I can't wait for the live shoes to happen and I finally get to perform and boom! I'll show why I am here."
Meanwhile, Matt Cardle - who has been tipped as the favourite finalist to win the show - admits he is ignoring bookies odds.
He said: "It's nice to hear a bit of positivity from the bookies or whoever, but I'm not taking it to heart."
