'Boring' Ben Price
'Coronation Street' star Ben Price - who plays bad boy Nick Tilsley in the ITV1 soap - has revealed he enjoys playing a naughty character, as in real life he is quite boring
'Coronation Street' actor Ben Price is boring in real life.
The 38-year-old star - who shot to fame playing the role of Conrad Gates in 'Footballers' Wives' - enjoys playing bad boy Nick Tilsley in the ITV1 soap as he's not a "very exciting" person.
He explained: "It's fun to play a naughty character, because I'm not very exciting in real life! On screen, I get to play characters who have big rows and affairs, but in real life there are consequences. It's always exciting to play bad boys and get people shouting at the TV."
Despite being known for his raunchy role in 'Footballers' Wives', the actor revealed his days of flashing the flesh on TV are now over.
Ben said: "There are times when I suddenly seem to answer the door with no top on. But my days of taking my clothes off are over. I took my clothes off a lot on 'Footballers' Wives'! But now I'll leave the stripping to Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw), who's very good at it."
The hunky soap star also admitted he has a crush on one of the more unlikely members of the 'Coronation Street' cast - 66-year-old Sue Nicholls, who plays his on-screen grandma.
When asked who his sexiest leading lady has been, he told Reveal magazine: "I know this is going to sound strange, but I'd have to say Sue Nicholls. She's really got something, a real spark."
