Ronnie Wood takes 'Forever' to record

Ronnie Wood has included a 35 year old song on his latest solo album.
The guitarist - who plays with The Faces and The Rolling Stones, as well as being a solo artist - told how he'd originally written one song, 'Forever' for his solo debut 'I've Got My Own Album to Do', but has only just got around to including on his forthcoming eighth album, 'I Feel Like Playing'.
Ronnie told Entertainment Weekly: "Back when I made my first album in 1974, the song 'Forever' - which is now on 'I Feel Like Playing' - was one that wasn't used on that album. It wasn't quite in the right shape. So that's been with me, like, 35 years.
"I thought it was a shame that it continued to be overlooked. I mean, I've made albums since, and I've thought, 'Oh s**t, I forgot about 'Forever'!' And this time, I didn't."
Keen painter Ronnie also added that after the past two turbulent years - in which he has divorced his wife of 23 years, Jo, entered rehab and finally become sober - making a new album was the perfect thing for him to focus on.
He added: "I was being followed by the press everywhere, and I had no private life. I didn't know what the hell was going on. I thought, well, to make a solo album now, unplanned, is perfect. It gives me something to do.
"It keeps me busy, which I love to be, and it keeps me creative. I got into the total music vibe."
'I Feel Like Playing' is released next Monday (27.09.10).
