Enders Strictly adapts for Scott Maslen
Scott Maslen's bosses at 'EastEnders' have cut his hours back so he has plenty of time to rehearse for 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
'EastEnders' bosses have cut Scott Maslen's hours to give him more time for his 'Strictly Come Dancing' training.
The 39-year-old hunk - who portrays Jack Branning in the soap - admits executives at the BBC are doing all they can to help him do well in the competition, and have given him a reduced filming schedule so he can fully focus on the ballroom dance show.
Discussing how he will juggle the two shows, he told Digital Spy: "Hopefully it will work. I'm going to make sure it does. They are going to truncate my work on 'EastEnders'. So I'll be doing all the scenes for one week in one or two days. It will be early starts and late finishes."
Scott is pleased to be taking on a smaller role in the Walford-based soap over the next few weeks, because he is itching to get out on the dancefloor with his dance partner Natalie Lowe to practice as much as possible.
He added "At EastEnders, sometimes it was dragging on and I was sitting there thinking, 'What time am I out of here?' You know, it's like I need to do my training!"
The first live 'Strictly Come Dancing' show airs on BBC One on Saturday October 1.
