Barbara Windsor's 'spat' with Wallace
'EastEnders' legend Barbara Windsor admits she and some of her co-stars once had a ''spat'' with Jessie Wallace
Barbara Windsor was among a number of 'EastEnders' cast to have a "spat" with Jessie Wallace.
The 73-year-old actress - who played Queen Vic landlady Peggy Mitchell for 16 years - admits she and Jessie, who plays Kat Moon, didn't always get on well, but eventually put their differences behind them after agreeing they were being "stupid".
She told OK! magazine: "I had one pretty big spat with Jessie Wallace, but I wasn't the only one.
"You just carry on for a while and don't take much notice of them, and then suddenly you think, 'Oh this is stupid,' and make up."
Despite their disagreement, Barbara is pleased to see the return of Kat (nee Kat Slater) and her screen spouse Alfie Moon (Shane Ritchie) to Albert Square.
She said: "I think it's a great idea - I always wanted Shane Ritchie back.
"I loved him as Alfie, and Kat Slater is one of the best soap characters ever - they're great as a double act."
'EastEnders' legend Barbara's last scenes on the show aired last earlier this month, and she is already missing Steve McFadden, who plays her screen son Phil Mitchell.
She said: "He has become a great personal friend of ours, we're there for each other always.
"I'll also miss my two girls, Samantha Womack (Ronnie Mitchell) and Rita Simons (Roxy Mitchell) and dear Pam St. Clement (Pat Butcher)."
