Scott Maslen's Strictly teasing
'EastEnders' hunk Scott Maslen's friends have been ''ripping'' him constantly about the glitzy, tight-fitting costumes he will have to wear in 'Strictly Come Dancing'
Scott Maslen's friends are "ripping" him about his 'Strictly Come Dancing' costumes.
The 'EastEnders' actor - who has been partnered with professional dancer Natalie Lowe in the BBC One ballroom dance competition - admits he is being teased profusely about the tight-fitting, sequined outfits he will have to wear for his performances.
He said: "I get ribbed constantly. I go fishing most of my time, when I'm not working, with a lot of people that are very down to earth, and they have been ripping me.
"But then, they watch all these girls and boys and it's like, 'You're going to be wearing Lycra and sequins, but what are those girls like?' "
Despite these jibes, the 39-year-old hunk - who is best known for his role as Albert Square womaniser Jack Branning - is enjoying rehearsals for the live shows.
He told Holy Soap: "It is a challenge, but I didn't realise how much of a challenge it was until we started rehearsals.
"When you get nearer and nearer to the live shows, the levels of adrenaline and nerves rise. I've never had those feelings of a complete explosion of just feeling great. It is lovely and I can understand why people can get addicted to it. It is so liberating. It's a real buzz."
