Shayne Ward helped by Cowell
'The X Factor' winner Shayne Ward has revealed he is enlisting the help of former mentor Simon Cowell in the hope of making a successful chart comeback
'The X Factor's Shayne Ward is enlisting the help of Simon Cowell to launch his comeback.
The singer - who won the ITV1 show in 2005 - revealed his former mentor has "100 per cent belief" he can launch a successful onslaught on the charts once again, and the 25-year-old 'Breathless' hitmaker admits he is "raring to go".
He explained: "Simon has 100 per cent belief in me, so we're all very excited. It's important to go away, discover yourself and like the new material you come across. It has been a long journey, but I'm very excited about being back and getting back on stage.
"I've been training so hard for this. It's important that I become physically fit again for this new campaign because I'm raring to go. I think I'm a lot better than I've been in the previous years so bring it on."
However, Shayne admitted he isn't sure how successful his album will be if it comes out at the same time as this year's 'The X Factor' winner Joe McElderry's debut album.
He added to The Sun newspaper: "If it does come out at the same time, I don't know. I've met Joe before and he's a lovely lad. I wish him the best of luck."
