Coleen Nolan loves son's Emmerdale role
Coleen Nolan is keen for her son Jake to take on a permanent role in 'Emmerdale' after a short stint playing Isaac Nuttall
Coleen Nolan wants her son to have a permanent role in 'Emmerdale'.
The singer-turned-TV-presenter's son Jake Roache played Isaac Nuttall in a short-lived role in the farm-based soap, and she is keen for him to continue working on the show.
She said: "He's absolutely loving it. He's on screen until October but he's finished there - I'd love them to keep him on but it was only for a short run.
"'Emmerdale' is my favourite soap because my son's in it. But it was my favourite before he was in it so he's just a bonus."
The 45-year-old presenter also reveals people on the show have enjoyed working with him.
She said: "They've all made him feel so fabulous. When I walked in, I was like, 'Oh it's my son's other family'. I feel like I know them."
Jake - who is the son of 'EastEnders' star Shane Richie - recently admitted he was "thrilled" to be taking part in the ITV1 show.
He said: "'I am thrilled to be part of such a great team. Everyone has made me feel so welcome. After watching Emmerdale for years on TV, I still have to pinch myself on set as it's all very surreal. My family have been very supportive as always and we all can't wait to see my first episode."
