Pushy sister Kylie Minogue
Pop sensation Kylie Minogue admits she behaves like a ''pushy stage mum'' when it comes to her sister Dannii Minogue's television career
Kylie Minogue is like a "pushy stage mum" when it comes to Dannii Minogue's career.
The pop sensation admits she is "stocked" that her younger sister's TV work has taken off through 'The X Factor', because she used to feel guilty about being more successful than her.
When asked if it was difficult before 'The X Factor', Kylie said: "Yes it could be. I would feel quite guilty sometimes although there was no reason to feel that. And I know that the last thing she would ever want me to feel is bad. But we've discussed all that and it's all good, I always knew her time would come. I'm stoked for her. I'm like a pushy stage mum. I'm like right, go for it."
Dannii has worked on the ITV1 reality show since 2007, but took some time out this summer as she went on maternity leave before giving birth to her first child Ethan.
However, she returned for the judges' houses stage of the competition, where her group visited her at a lavish mansion in Queensland, Australia.
Fellow judge Cheryl Cole also had to take a break from filming after falling ill with malaria, and Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh were joined by guest judges during the audition stages of the competition.
Describing Cheryl's illness, Simon told X Magazine: "Cheryl told me it was like coming out of a nightmare. But over the last two weeks we've seen the old Cheryl again. She's very pleased with her category, she's excited about the talent she's got and very focused on the show again.
"It was all about her and how serious it was. I didn't know much about malaria but apparently it was the really serious strain of it. We were really worried. But look, this is real life. People get sick, but unfortunately she got very sick and you've got to deal with it. This is what making reality TV is all about."
