Strictly Come Dancing line-up revealed
Rugby star Gavin Henson and MP Anne Widdecombe make up the star-studded line-up of this year's ballroom dance contest 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
Gavin Henson and Tina O'Brien will star in this year's star-studded 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The hunky sportsman - who is newly single following his split from singer Charlotte Church - will swap his Welsh rugby shirts for sequins and spandex in the hope of winning the BBC contest, where he will compete against former 'Coronation Street' actress Tina and 12 other celebrities.
'Holby City' actress Patsy Kensit, Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams, MP Anne Widdecombe, former 'EastEnders' star Kara Tointon, DJ Goldie and former England footballer Peter Shilton are also to take to the dancefloor.
But they will face stiff competition from 'EastEnders' hunk Scott Maslen, 'Countryfile' presenter Matt Baker, 'East Is East' star Jimi Mistry and celebrity psychologist Pamela Stephenson.
Legendary actress Felicity Kendal, 63 - who became a sex symbol following her role as Barbara Good in 70s series 'The Good Life' - has also signed up, along with magician Paul Daniels, 72, who was selected by the BBC for being a "national treasure".
Although the show doesn't start until Saturday (11.09.10), outspoken MP Anne, 62, has already compared herself to 2008 contestant John Sergeant, 66, - who was known as the "dancing pig".
This year's series promised to see many changes, with the names of the celebrities' dance partners being announced for the first time live on air.
Host Bruce Forsyth, 82, has also decided not to present the Sunday night results show this year after struggling with demanding workloads.
