'X Factor' hopeful Cher Lloyd may not be able to cope with the pressure of the show, her fellow contestants fear.
The 17-year-old singer wowed the judges with her rendition of the Soulja Boy hit 'Turn My Swag On' on Saturday night (04.09.10), but now insiders are worried about her health after she appeared "frail and vulnerable" and the Boot Camp rounds of the show.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "Everyone was worried about Cher, she was extremely nervous and shaking at some points.
"She is quite bolshy on stage, but she sat by herself at lunch. She didn't eat much and looked frail and vulnerable as she was accompanied by a member of production. If she gets through to the live shows next month - which she is a shoo-in for - she will have to be given a bit of extra special attention. She is very young."
A source at the ITV show insist producers will do everything they can to make sure Cher is protected, saying: "We take great care with our contestants and ensure that they can cope with the strain that comes with taking part on 'The X Factor'.
"Yes, Cher is small, but we would never allow anyone on the show who we have concerns about. When the contestants are that bit younger, we do realise we have to take that bit of extra care."
But it seems Cher wasn't too shy during the Boot Camp phase as she is rumoured to have spent an intimate few hours with fellow hopeful Liam Payne, as producers put all the contestants up in a hotel.
A source said: "Liam and Cher soon disappeared and slipped into one of the rooms. They emerged later looking very red-faced and were obviously trying to hide something."
