Jeremy Clarkson blasts 'greedy' Stig
'Top Gear' presenter Jeremy Clarkson has branded mystery motorist The Stig - who was recently revealed as Ben Collins - as ''a greedy t**t''
Jeremy Clarkson has branded 'Top Gear's The Stig "a greedy t**t".
The TV host has claimed that the driver - whose identity as speedway star Ben Collins was revealed last week amid a row over the release of his tell-all autobiography - is "greedy" for revealing one of television's best-kept secrets.
He said: "As you may know we've had a problem with The Stig. Everyone now knows his real name. It's The T**t. Actually to give him his full name it's The Greedy T**t."
The mystery motorist - whose face has never been revealed in the popular BBC One show - won a court battle last week, which allows him to be named so he is able to publish his autobiography.
Ben has argued he should be permitted to cash in on his title because presenter Jeremy, as well as co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May, have all made money off the back of the show.
James May recently revealed he expects bosses on the BBC show to employ a new driving expert to portray the secret speedster.
He explained: "We can get another one. There may be many more Stigs in many more galaxies. It is a shame. I mean, the whole point of being The Stig is that you are nobody. The Stig is a character.
"It's a testing device, The Stig, and it protects it from corruption if nobody knows who it is, that's the really good thing about it."
