Nicole Scherzinger's X Factor fears
Former Pussycat Doll singer Nicole Scherzinger worried that she would ''suck'' as a stand in judge on 'The X Factor'.
Nicole Scherzinger worried she was going to "suck" when she appeared on 'The X Factor'.
The US singer - who is rumoured to become a panellist on the US version of the show when it starts next year - said she wouldn't usually consider appearing on such a show, but after working on the auditions and Boot Camp stages of the UK version, she may be open to suggestions.
She told website Perezhilton.com: "Well I actually did 'The X Factor' in the UK and I was like what's this going to be like, am I going to suck?
"But I really enjoyed the experience. It was kind of crazy. You are, like, your own rock star."
Nicole - who was standing in for judge Dannii Minogue while she was on maternity leave - said she also warmed to the show's judges, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.
She added: "It was just a lot of fun and Simon Cowell is just brilliant and Louis was just the sweetest thing ever."
Show host Dermot O'Leary has previously said Nicole's enthusiasm for contestants on the show made for interesting viewing.
He explained: "She has an inability to say no. You get people auditioning where even their families are on the ground begging them to stop.
"Louis will say, 'hated it, hated it', Simon will try to be encouraging, but say no, and Nicole will go, 'Girl, I saw something there.'
"Literally 3,000 people in the auditorium will turn around and go 'really?'"
'The X Factor' is aired on Saturdays on ITV1.
