Johnny Vegas

'Benidorm' actor Johnny Vegas admits he can't turn his TV on without becoming hooked to daytime shows like 'Homes Under the Hammer' on BBC One

Johnny Vegas is addicted to watching 'Homes Under the Hammer'.

The 'Benidorm' actor admits he can't put the TV on if he has somewhere important to be, because his "love of cheap property" means he ends up watching daytime telly for hours on end.

He said: "I don't tend to put the telly on in the morning because once it's on, it stays on. I'm not strong enough to watch half an hour and turn it off. If 'Homes Under the Hammer' gets me, I'm in it for the long haul. Suddenly it's evening and I'm still sitting there. All because of my love of cheap property."

The 38-year-old star - who is known for his eccentric personality and wild sense of humour - also revealed he would never be interested in appearing in a reality show like 'I'm A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here', because he's "a bit of a tart".

He said: "I can't think of anything more stressful than being on camera 24 hours a day. I'm a bit of a tart, I like working on shows where you're in and out."
