Strictly welcomes four new dancers
'Strictly Come Dancing' has signed up four new professional dancers to star in the upcoming series of the show
Four new professional dancers have joined 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The upcoming series - which launches next month - will see West End star Tanya Perera, Shem Jacobs and Aneta Piotrowska, both from Poland's 'Dancing With The Stars' and Crystal Main from 'Strictly Come Dancing' in South Africa join the new-look BBC One show.
The foursome will team up with the show's previous dancers Darren Bennett and Ian Waite to make up the six-member dance troupe which will perform extravagant routines for the audience throughout the series.
Unlike previous episodes, their jobs will be solely to perform as a group and will be different to the professionals who are paired with celebrity contestants.
As well as a new team of ballroom dancers, the upcoming series will also provide a revamped set, and celebrity contestants will be paired with their partners live in front of a studio audience.
Although none of the 14 celebrity contestants have been officially announced, it is believed that former 'I'm A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here' winner Kerry Katona is set to hit the dancefloor alongside her pop star pal Peter Andre.
Other stars being lined up include Robbie Williams' best friend Jonathan Wilkes, DJ Goldie, actress Felicity Kendal, former Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams, Patsy Kensit and rugby player Gavin Henson.
Former 'Coronation Street' actress Tina O'Brien and ex-'EastEnders' hunk Robert Kazinsky are also rumoured to be competing.
Veteran presenter Bruce Forsyth recently confirmed his return to the show, saying: "According to the press I've been leaving ever since I started. And here we are talking about an eighth series. I have a couple more meetings, but it's going well."
