Chantelle insists there are no "bad feelings" between her and Preston.
The former couple - who married after meeting on 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2006 but divorced less than a year later - have reunited on 'Ultimate big Brother' but the blonde has reassured her housemates that their history will not cause any problems.
She said: "Nothing happened seriously for us to break up, so that's why there is no bad feelings there. He is the only ex I have ever stayed friends with."
John then suggested to Brian that the rest of the house attempted to reunite the pair.
He suggested: "Don't you think she's a really good girl? Preston's a lovely chap, shouldn't we bring them together?"
However, Chantelle quickly shot down the idea, saying: "No, he's got a girlfriend.
Later in the evening Chantelle and Preston discussed his infamous appearance on comedy quiz show 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks' - where the singer stormed off the programme in fury at Simon Amstell reading extracts from his then-wife's autobiography in a mocking way.
Preston explained his reasons for returning to the house, saying: "Obviously because of 'Buzzcocks' and all that s**t," before explaining that he hoped to improve his public image.
Speaking about his walk-out, Chantelle said: "He had a go at me by having a go at you.
"You only walked off because people were being horrible to me."
Preston added: "Of course I did, no-one is going to do that while I'm around. I just regret going on that show."
