Louis Walsh unhappy with Boys
Louis Walsh revealed he ''nearly walked'' out of 'The X Factor' when he found out he was assigned the Boys category last week
Louis Walsh "nearly walked" out of 'The X Factor' last week.
The Irish judge - who joins Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue on the judging panel of the ITV1 show - admitted he was so angry he was assigned to mentor the Boys category in the finals, he almost quit the series altogether.
He explained to radio station RTE 2FM: "I'm not happy with my category. I nearly walked last week when they gave me my category. The girls are having an easy job. They weren't even there for all the auditions."
While Louis will reportedly mentor the Boys in this year's final, Simon has landed the Girls category, Dannii the Over 28s, and Cheryl - who will return to the show after being struck down with malaria in the middle of the first round of auditions - has been assigned Groups.
Louis has mentored the Groups category in four out of the last six series of the talent search show, which has also previously prompted him to complain, as no group has ever won the show.
Meanwhile, former panelist Sharon Osbourne will return to 'The X Factor' to join Louis in the judges' houses section of the show to help him choose his final three acts, which will go through to the live stage of the competition.
An insider said: "Sharon knows she's only back for one episode but is determined to stir things up and make mischief."
