Olly Murs scared of Factor
This article is from 2010.
Former 'X Factor' runner-up Olly Murs has admitted he is ''too scared'' to ask Simon Cowell if he can perform on the hit ITV1 show this year.
Olly Murs is "too scared" to ask Simon Cowell if he can perform on 'The X Factor' this year.
The 'Please Don't Let Me Go' singer - who came second in last year's competition - admitted he would love to return to perform on the hit ITV1 show, he doesn't think he will be given the opportunity.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I really hope I can go back on the show but I'm too scared to ask Simon Cowell. I keep speaking to him on the phone but I'm too scared to mention it. I think even JLS and Alexandra Burke would agree it's a great honour to go back and perform. I don't expect to be given the opportunity, but fingers crossed I get it.
"I was a big character on the show last year and people did like me. I absolutely love 'The X Factor' and would love to go back because obviously the last time I performed on the show was when I lost to Joe McElderry. It would be great to go back as a success story and say, 'You know what? I've had a great year'."
The Essex-born hunk - who is to release his debut single next week (29.08.10) - is also set to star in a one-off documentary about his rise to fame so fans can get to know him better.
He explained: "It's just literally about what I've done since 'The X Factor' so people can get to know me a little more. People see the show and the build-up and although people get to know me to a certain extent, this will just tell them a little bit more about the real Olly Murs."
