Sky Ride empties streets of Glasgow for cyclists

Six hours of car-free city centre cycling

Fancy taking the kids cycling through Glasgow, without fear of clipping a wing mirror, or being sent flying by some crazy non-indicating driver? Well now’s your chance! For six hours, the city centre is all yours, so pull on the wee ones’ cycling helmets and head down to Glasgow Green, where you’ll find the ‘entertainment village’ and the start of the route. Glide past the SECC, Glasgow Science Centre, the Gallery of Modern Art and George Square, without a car in sight. Visit to register.

Glasgow City Centre, Sun 22 Aug, 9.30am-3.30pm.

The Sky Ride Glasgow

The streets of Glasgow shut to traffic for one day for this free large-scale cycling extravaganza. Join thousands of others for a blissfully traffic-free experience alongside stars of the cycling world with entertainment and a little (optional) fancy dress thrown in.
