Ting Tings announce comeback
British band the Ting Tings have announced their comeback single 'Hands' is to be mixed by Calvin Harris and is set for release on October 11.
The Ting Tings' comeback single is to be mixed by Calvin Harris.
The 'That's Not My Name' duo - who finished recording their second album 'Kunst' last month - have revealed the first track from the record will be entitled 'Hands' and will be released on October 11.
Jules De Martino, one of half of the group, explained the pair considered the time they spent recording the album in Berlin a "fresh start", as they wanted to write something different from their debut album 'We Started Nothing'.
He said: "Our time in Berlin was a fresh start, with no rules again. When you've had an album that's been successful, the danger is you go back in the studio, look back and try and emulate it."
Bandmate Katie White added: "It'd be so lazy and easy to make the same album twice."
Jay-Z is also said to have had a hand in the British duo's new material.
An insider recently revealed: "Jay is hoping to lend his production skills to some of the new material. The Staccato rhythmic style of The Ting Tings sits well with what he does best, so that was the attraction.
"Jay can make them one of the biggest British bands in America."
