Lyndon Ogbourne surprised by Nasty Nathan
'Emmerdale' actor Lyndon Ogbourne admits he had no idea his character Nathan Wylde would turn out to be so nasty
Lyndon Ogbourne had no idea his 'Emmerdale' character would turn into "Nasty Nathan".
The actor - who plays troublesome farmer Nathan Wylde in the ITV1 soap - loves working on the show, but was shocked when he realised how "psychotic" his "creepy" character would become.
He said: "There was always an idea of him having a controlling, arrogant streak, but I never knew he'd become Nasty Nathan. He's psychotic - there of elements of him that even I find creepy. but he's a great character to play."
Since he moved into the rural village, Nathan has been caught up in numerous horrifying storylines, and even framed his half-brother Ryan Lamb (James Sutton) for the murder of their father Mark Wylde.
Lyndon finds it "terrifying" that millions of people are watching him portray such a disliked character each day.
He added to the Mirror newspaper: "I was nervous when I joined. Millions of people watch me every night and that's terrifying. When you are playing an absolute b*****d like Nathan it creates strong feelings. People love to hate him."
