Rachel Leskovac's mother's meetings
'Coronation Street' actress Rachel Leskovac organises ''mother's meetings'' for her co-stars in the soap's green room
Rachel Leskovac organises "mother's meetings" in the 'Coronation Street' green room.
The actress - who plays hairdresser Natasha Blakeman in the ITV1 soap - regularly sits down with other cast members who have young children, to offer each other advice and chat about life as a mum.
She said: "It really can turn into a right mother's meeting in the green room! There's me, Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby), Samia Smith (Maria Connor), Alison King (Carla Connor) and Julia Haworth (Claire Peacock), who all have young children now. It's great, though, because you need that support and we all offer each other advice. When you're at work, you can feel guilty sometimes, because you want to be with your kids. But I've always considered being a working mum as a positive role for Macy."
The 34-year-old actress has three-year-old daughter Macy with her musician husband David Tench, and admits it's a struggle for her to explain her career to the tot.
She added to InsideSoap magazine: "Macy has been around the 'Coronation Street' set and she's met everyone - but it's a bit strange for her as she's too small to comprehend. She knows I'm getting paid to pretend to be a hairdresser, but she doesn't 'get it' yet."
