X Factor hit by Storm
Professional singer Storm Lee upset fellow 'X Factor' hopefuls by claiming he was ''guaranteed'' a place in the live finals
'X Factor' contestants were left in tears over the confidence of a fellow auditionee.
Professional singer Storm Lee - who has worked with rockers Ozzy Osbourne and Meat Loaf in the past - infuriated fellow hopefuls when he claimed his experience singing with 'American Idol' stars including David Archuleta, Carrie Underwood and Clay Aiken would give him a better chance of making it to the finals than anyone else.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "He is very, very confident. But it didn't exactly impress judge Simon Cowell in his audition.
"It left some of the less experienced hopefuls feeling worried, though. They felt they could not compare to someone who had so much experience.
"Tensions ran so high that some even got teary, fearing he had the edge."
Storm, 31, reportedly told rivals at boot camp be was "guaranteed" a place in the live finals of this year's competition because of his extensive experience, which includes the release of an album and two singles, as well as penning and performing the theme tune for US reality TV show 'Step It Up And Dance'.
Though his arrogance is said to have infuriated other contestants, he has been tipped for success by audience members who saw him in London.
One fan posted on an internet forum: "Storm Lee is unique, talented, sweet, and has a special "something" and can bring a lot.
"He totally deserves to win this thing. Storm Lee = winner for season seven of 'X Factor'."
