Patsy Palmer expecting baby 4
'EastEnders' actress Patsy Palmer and her husband Richard Merkell are celebrating after it is announced she is pregnant with her fourth child
Patsy Palmer is pregnant with her fourth child.
The 'EastEnders' actress - who plays mum-of-four Bianca Butcher in the BBC One soap - is currently five months pregnant and "delighted" at the news she and her husband Richard Merkell will be having another baby in December.
A spokesperson for the BBC said: "We can confirm that Patsy is pregnant and she is delighted."
Patsy and cab driver Richard already have nine-year-old son Fenton and eight-year-old daughter Emilia together, with the actress also being mum to son Charley, 17, from a previous relationship.
The 38-year-old star will have to take some time out from 'EastEnders' to look after her new tot, and is expected to be written out from the show for her maternity leave.
Patsy returned to 'EastEnders' in April 2008, following a nine-year break from the show.
In February, her alter-ego Bianca married her on/off lover Ricky Butcher (Sid Owen) for the second time.
The pair now face marriage trouble as Ricky's ex-wife Sam Mitchell (Danniella Westbrook) returns to Albert Square heavily pregnant, claiming Ricky is the father of her unborn baby.
Patsy's former co-star Natalie Cassidy - who played her screen sister Sonia Jackson in the soap - is also pregnant.
