Kate Walsh discusses Five feud
Former 'The Apprentice' star Kate Walsh is adamant Melinda Messenger only quit 'Live From Studio Five' because of her young family.
Kate Walsh claims Melinda Messenger quit 'Live From Studio Five' for family reasons.
The former 'Apprentice' star - who co-presented 'Live From Studio Five' with the pair for six months before former glamour model quit - is adamant the busty blonde left to spend time with her young family, rather than because of a falling out with her co-star Ian Wright.
Kate said: "Melinda has three young kids. Her family is really important. She's a great mum - she could almost make me want to have kids! She signed up to the show for six months to see how it would affect her family. When her contract was up she didn't want to continue. I was gutted".
After Melinda quit, Ian branded her "annoying", and she then retaliated by claiming it was his "intolerable" personality which made her decide to go.
However, Kate defended her co-host Ian saying he wasn't "malicious".
She explained: "Wrighty did an interview and said something like: 'She talked too much, so maybe we'll get a chance to talk now she's not on the show!' But he didn't mean it in a malicious way. He just says it how it is."
Melinda's replacement Emma Willis quit the show after two months to host 'Big Brother's Little Brother' and has now been replaced by Jayne Middlemiss.
