Shobna Gulati's Corrie workload worry
Shobna Gulati admits she isn't concerned about whether her character Sunita Alahan will die during 'Coronation Street's 50th birthday storyline - but worries about how hard she'll have to work
Shobna Gulati is worried about how hard she'll have to work during 'Coronation Street's 50th birthday storylines.
The actress - who recently returned to Weatherfield as Sunita Alahan following a three-year break - admits she isn't concerned her character will be one of those facing the axe in the enormous tram crash in December, but only worries she'll be rushed off her feet with the hectic filming schedule.
She said: "I have no idea if Sunita will die in the accident, but I think it will make great television. The cast aren't really worried about who'll be killed off. We're more concerned about the sheer amount of hard work involved, because it's going to be such a big week of episodes."
The 43-year-old actress has been an avid fan of the show her entire life, because her mother was such an avid fan.
She added to Inside Soap magazine: "My mum watched it all the time, so as a very young child I just remember hearing the opening music."
