Kym Marsh understands soap confusion
'Coronation Street' actress Kym Marsh admits a lot of soap fans often get confused between TV shows and real life.
Kym Marsh thinks 'Coronation Street' fans get "confused" by actors who play villains.
The brunette actress - who plays barmaid Michelle Connor in the hit ITV1 soap - believes that while she and boyfriend, former 'Hollyoaks' star Jamie Lomas, have never had negative reactions from fans, it is easy for people to become confused between the show and real life.
She said: "I personally haven1t experienced any negative reactions, but my character Michelle is pretty normal.
"I think people more often get confused with actors who play villains. But, having said that, Jamie played the ultimate villain, Warren Fox, in 'Hollyoaks' and people loved him."
The former Hearsay singer - who won Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards in 2007 - revealed the 'Coronation Street' cast don't even know what's going to happen in the soap's upcoming 50th anniversary episodes.
She added: "A lot was made last week of the cast of 'Corrie' being asked not to tweet or use mobiles while on set to stop storylines from leaking. However, we1ve never been allowed to use mobiles because it interrupts filming and none of us know what is going to happen during the 50th anniversary plot anyway."
