P. Diddy wants to judge Idol
P.Diddy admits he wants to be an 'American Idol' judge because he'd love to have a bank balance rivalling former panel members and music mogul Simon Cowell.
P. Diddy wants to be an 'American Idol' judge - because he needs the money.
The multi-millionaire rap mogul is one of many high-profile names to be linked with taking a seat on the panel of the US TV talent show, and though the rapper initially had no intention of accepting any approach, he is now having second thoughts.
He said on 'Lopez Tonight': "At first when people were asking me if I was interested in the job I was like no. that's not my style.
"But once I heard what Simon Cowell makes. I would love the job. I've got six kids. If I would get the same cheque Simon gets. we would have a ball."
The 'American Idol' judging panel is in complete disarray at the moment, after Ellen DeGeneres quit yesterday (29.07.10) after just one season, songwriter Kara DioGuardi has reportedly been sacked, and music mogul Simon Cowell left at the end of the last series.
It is now believed that Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler might join remaining judge Randy Jackson for the upcoming series as part of a new three-person panel.
Singer-and-actress Jennifer has reportedly been in talks with show boss Simon Fuller for several weeks.
Meanwhile, Ellen's former co-star Simon has praised the comedienne for her ambition and drive.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: "As I got to know Ellen, I grew to really, really like her. I have huge respect for her because she's always been in control of her own destiny."
