Chuckle Brothers for I'm A Celeb?
'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' bosses have reportedly approached The Chuckle Brothers to appear on the next series of the jungle show.
The Chuckle Brothers have been approached to appear on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.
Show bosses have reportedly been forced to lower appearance fees for the show after spending a huge proportion of the budget making the series in high definition and improving the Bushtucker Trials and the comic duo - 65-year-old Barry Elliot and his 62-year-old brother Paul - are among their cut-price contestant wish list.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "This year's show is going to be bigger and better than ever.
"High definition will really make a difference because we'll be getting up close and personal to all those creepy crawlies.
"But obviously when large amounts of cash are being spent on one area then there have to be a few cutbacks in other areas."
However, bosses are confident the move will pay off when the show returns in November after highly-paid stars including Martina Navratilova and George Takei were deemed boring by fans, while Timmy Mallett, David Van Day and comedy duo Cannon and Ball have been among the highest-rated contestants.
A show spokesperson said: "Viewers can look forward to some great names entering the jungle."
