Olly Murs hopes his one-off documentary for ITV2 will help people get to know more about him

Olly Murs hopes people get to know more about him from his new documentary.

The former 'X Factor' contestant - who lost out to Joe McElderry in the final of last year's talent show hunt - believes his one-off documentary will be a good chance for people to learn more about him than they may know from the singing programme.

Speaking at the UK premiere of 'The A-Team', Olly told BANG Showbiz: "I'm doing a documentary about myself on ITV2. That'll be cool! It's only going to be a one-off thing. It will be a bit about me. Hopefully it will help people get to know me a bit more than they might do. It'll be good."

The Essex boy also reveals he would love to get into acting, and would relish the chance to have a cameo role in 'EastEnders' like his pop star pal Robbie Williams.

He said: "I'd love to get into acting. Remember years ago when Robbie Williams walked in the background at the Queen Vic? He had a beer or something. I'd love to do that. Just a cameo role in the cafe or something. It isn't my goal, I'd do anything!"
