Kevin Webster wants Dobbs' departure
Kevin Webster is desperate for his ex-lover Molly Dobbs and her husband Tyrone Dobbs to leave 'Coronation Street' for good.
Kevin Webster has "no choice" but to convince Molly and Tyrone Dobbs to leave 'Coronation Street'.
Michael Le Vell - who has played the mechanic since 1983 - admits his alter-ego can't do anything but encourage his former lover and best friend to leave Weatherfield before she gives birth.
He said: "He's desperate for them to go before the baby is born so it can be a case of 'out of sight out of mind' for him. Of course, he has to buy Tyrone out of the garage before that can happen.
"But he's also sad to be losing Tyrone. He's going to miss him... But I suppose he should have thought of that before he slept with his wife."
In a bid for Tyrone and Molly - real names Vicky Binns and Alan Halsall - to leave Weatherfield before she gives birth to what could be Kevin's secret child, the married garage owner pays him out of their business with an extortionate offer.
Michael has also hinted his character might end up looking after Molly's baby, as it is already known she is set to be killed off when the actress leaves the soap later this year.
He told What's On TV: "All I know is there's going to be a lot of high emotion and drama. I can't see the baby disappearing to another town... Otherwise what would have been the point of the story."
